Especially for Lay Preachers
You’re invited to be part of this program that will help anyone be more engaged in hearing Scripture read and sermons preached in public worship. It is especially helpful for those lay ministers who have been preaching in their congregations or for those who are interested in doing so.
During this Saturday morning in-person event, presented by the Rev. Susan Ironside and the Rev. Tim Mulder, you will be given an overview of methods of interpreting scripture, more familiarity with resources available to read scripture, and a primer on sermon construction.
This program is a precursor to restarting formal preparation and licensing for Lay Preachers in the Diocese of Newark.
