At the close of this year’s convention, congregations in our diocese were invited to take a step on our diocesan journey to Join God in Shaping Our Future by participating in a three-month period of listening, a Listening Excursion.

But listening in our diocese isn’t just for congregations! This spring, an exploratory team of parents, clergy, diocesan staff, and youth ministers will be intentionally listening to our youth and those who care for them. This group of leaders will begin to explore how our diocese, in partnership with congregations, can best support our youth and young adults as we journey together.

Prompted by the departure of the diocese’s Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, the team will use what they hear and learn at the Listening Tables to begin to discern the implications of those learnings to youth ministry in our diocese and identify next steps.

Two Listening Tables have been scheduled. All are welcome and encouraged to attend – adults, youth, clergy, lay.
