Breakout Sessions

When you register to attend,  you will need to select one of these options to complete the form, based on where you feel called, not necessarily the governing body you serve. This will allow us to prepare breakout rooms for conversation.

  • Financial Resources (Assets) – How are we to receive and make use of financial assets? How do our assets support our vision for ministry. What limitations do we need to be aware of? What steps do we need to take to align our assets with our ministry? What do we need to let go of? What goals can you see us working towards in 90 days? 6 months? 1 year? 18 months?
  • Financial Resources (Tithing) – Pledging to church and diocese: How do we become a tithing diocese? What limitations do we need to be aware of? What steps do we need to take to align our giving with our faith and ministry? What do we need to let go of? What goals can you see us working towards in 90 days? 6 months? 1 year? 18 months?
  • Formation – How are we to form the faith in our parishes and ministries? In what way do our gatherings and ministries deepen faith? What limitation do we need to be aware of? What steps do we need to take to provide formation that leads people to a faithful life and ministry? What do we need to let go of? What goals can you see us working towards in 90 days? 6 months? 1 year? 18 months?
  • Innovation and New Ministry – How can we support churches as they innovate to minister in a dramatically altered environment? How can we encourage innovation as a discipline when evaluating ministries and church staff? What tools or support are needed for innovation? What steps do we need to take to innovate our vision for ministries in the diocese? What do we need to let go of? What goals can you see us working towards in 90 days? 6 months? 1 year? 18 months?
  • Community Relations, Community Care, and Community Outreach – How do we make our presence known in the community? How and when do we tell the story of our involvement in the community? What steps do we need to take to align our community presence with our vision for ministry? What do we need to let go of? What goals can you see us working towards in 90 days? 6 months? 1 year? 18 months?
  • Ministry of Justice – How are we called to be justice makers, teachers, and learners in northern New Jersey? What is our justice history in the diocese? Where is that story told? How is it traditioned to new generations? What sorts of justice need our attention now? How can we order ourselves so that justice is prominent in our diocese? What standing groups, councils, or committees need to come into being? What do we need to let go of? What goals can you see us working towards in 90 days? 6 months? 1 year? 18 months?
