Public celebration of the Feast of Absalom Jones

On Sunday, February 9, 2020, the Diocese of Newark Chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians will celebrate the life and ministry of the Rev. Absalom Jones, the first person of African descent ordained a deacon and priest in the Episcopal Church.

Celebrant: The Rt. Rev. Carlye J. Hughes, 11th Bishop of Newark.

Guest Preacher: Rev. Dr. Stanly Hearst II of Mount Pisgah A.M.E. Church, Jersey City, NJ.

Reception to follow at 24 Rector Street in Newark.
