Electing Convention Registration - Churches

The completed registration form for churches should be submitted by the deadline of Thursday, May 10, 2018

Please return the registration form that was emailed and mailed to your church. Need another copy of the form? Contact Randy Johnson at rjohnson@dioceseofnewark.org or 973-430-9906.

WHO VOTES?

  • All clergy that are canonically resident in the Diocese of Newark are eligible to vote at this convention. Non-canonically-resident clergy are not eligible.
  • Only the lay deputies/alternates that registered for the 144th Annual Diocesan Convention (January 2018) are eligible to vote using this definition:
    • Each church is entitled to elect 3 lay deputies and 3 alternates of whom 3 attend convention with voting privileges.

FEE

  • The registration fee is $25 for each deputy (clergy and lay).

WHO IS ATTENDING/VOTING ON MAY 19TH?

Your registered deputies are listed on the form. No other names may be added. Please check, in the yellow column, the (maximum of) 3 lay deputies/alternates who will attend and vote.

Please check all clergy who will attend and vote.

Then sign and return the form via email (rjohnson@dioceseofnewark.org), fax (973.622.6508) or U.S. mail (Randy Johnson, 31 Mulberry Street, Newark, NJ 07102)  by May 10, 2018.
