Death in our diocesan family: Paul Propst

Votive candles

With sadness we share the news of the death of Paul Propst, 93, father-in-law of Fr. Kevin Coffey, Rector of Church of the Atonement, Fair Lawn. A memorial service will be held there on Saturday, April 6 at 2 PM.

During WWII, Paul served two years aboard several ships with the US Navy. Before he retired he worked as a rate clerk with Over Night Trucking. A life-long Southern Baptist, he lived almost all of that life in North and South Carolina, moving to New Jersey 1-1/2 years ago to be closer to his great-grandson, William.

Paul will be interred in Shelby, NC this summer, next to his late wife, Kathleen.

Condolences may be sent to Fr. Kevin & Kathy Coffey at 17-14 Radburn Rd, Fair Lawn, 07410-4416.

Lord, for your faithful people life is changed, not ended. When the body of our earthly dwelling lies in death we gain an everlasting dwelling place in heaven. Lord, grant eternal rest, forever in the radiance of your light. Amen.
