[The Daily Record] A new chapter of Emotions Anonymous, a 12-step program for people struggling with emotional difficulties, is meeting Friday nights at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on Maple Avenue.
All congregations are canonically required to submit an audit of the books and records on an annual basis. Audits for the year 2014 are due by June 1, 2015. (Note that this deadline was changed by Diocesan Council from September 1.)

With sadness we share the news of the passing of Joseph "Joe" Leidy, 86, on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. From Bishop Stark to Bishop Beckwith, Joe served the Diocese of Newark with dedication. A Celebration of his life will be held at the Church of the Redeemer in Morristown, on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 10 a.m.
During the 2014-2015 program year, there will be four opportunities around the diocese for interested lay people to engage with Bishop Mark Beckwith in Bible study and a conversation about discipleship and mission. The third of these Lay Conversations will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Grace Church in Rutherford (rescheduled from the March 3 Lay Conversation that was postponed due to inclement weather).
For the fourth year in a row, congregations in the Diocese of Newark took to the streets on Ash Wednesday, February 18, to mark the beginning of Lent by giving “Ashes to Go.”
On February 23, 2015, the New Jersey General Assembly recognized the Rev. Dr. Canon Sandye A. Wilson of St. Andrew and Holy Communion in South Orange, along with the Rev. Dr. Terry Richardson of the First Baptist Church of South Orange, for their work in their community.
