Make a Gift of Stock

Gifts to the Episcopal Diocese of Newark in the form of stocks or mutual funds that have appreciated in value may be especially attractive to you under the current tax laws. With a charitable gift of appreciated securities held long-term, the donation you make and the deduction you get are greater than they would be if you were to sell the shares and donate the cash proceeds. That is because when you donate shares, you avoid incurring capital gains.

Please be aware that donor information will not be included with your electronic transfer, so you should alert us in advance of the security name and/or ticker symbol and number of shares you plan to give.
