A ground-breaking stewardship web conference was held on Saturday, April 5, 2014. Sponsored by the diocesan Fund Development Committee, and working together with others in Province II, this conference was held in two locations in the Diocese of Newark – in Newark and in Madison – as well as in seven other dioceses at the same time. There were 53 participants in our diocese, and nearly 300 in 16 different locations.
This exciting and significant step forward in fostering transformative stewardship approaches as well as the best in stewardship techniques was presented by three of the finest practitioners in the Episcopal Church:
- Mary McGregor, Director of Development in the Diocese of Texas, spoke about the importance of Becoming an Agent for Change as part of our stewardship lives. Watch Mary Mcgregor's presentation.
- The Rev. Timothy Dombek, Canon for Stewardship and Development in the Diocese of Arizona, talked about What Gives with Giving? Watch the Rev. Timothy Dombek's presentation.
- The Rev. Jerry Keucher, Consultant for the Episcopal Church Foundation and author, focused on moving from Theology to Reality. Watch the Rev. Jerry Keucher's presentation.
Each presentation is in Adobe® Connect and lasts about one hour.
Paul Shackford, Diocesan CFO said, “Each of these presenters brought an important, useful, and practical way of understanding stewardship and making it more a part of our lives in our congregations.”
