Mary G. Rankin Scholarship Fund
The Mary G. Rankin Scholarship Fund
was established in 1980 by the Episcopal Church Women in memory
of this former ECW member. She was a faithful member of the Executive
Board for many years, both as Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer. She made
history in the late 1960's by being the first woman to be elected to the
Diocesan Council. Mary was also a pioneer at her home parish, St. George's
Church, Maplewood, where she was the first woman in the diocese to serve
as a parish warden.
Education of young people was a high priority to her.
Therefore, it was most fitting that this scholarship
fund was made in her name. The number of awards and
amount of the scholarships vary yearly, depending
entirely upon contributions to the fund.
The application deadline is April 1. Application forms may be downloaded in PDF format.
