Tell them how much the Lord has done for you - Meditation for Saturday of Lent II

“Go home to your friends and family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you and what mercy He has shown you." (Mark 5:19)

Reflection:

How often do you take the Good News of Jesus and share it with others? What are some of the mercies and blessings you have received from Jesus?

Have you achieved success at landing a job or a career move with the help of prayer? Have you changed the circumstances of your life by worshiping and praising the Lord? Have you recovered from an addiction, illness or health scare by petitioning help from the triune God? More importantly, have you told your family and friends about these great mercies.

We don’t have to go out on the streets to proclaim the greatness of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit; just go home and share the Good News with those you are closest to, your family and friends.

The readings for Wednesday of Lent II are Psalm 75, 76, Genesis 43:16-24, 1 Cor 7:10-24, Mark 5:1-20, and can be found at www.satucket.com/lectionary/2lent2.htm.
