The summer evening workshop Stepping Stones: Finding meaning in your life story was "A wonderful opportunity to share our faith journey and be supportive in faith, hope and love," said one of the 30 participants, while others requested more such events.

Sponsored by the Empowering People Action Team of Diocesan Council, the Stepping Stones workshop took place last Wednesday, July 30, at St Agnes' Church in Little Falls.

After joining in the fellowship of a light supper, the workshop participants took part in a facilitated program led by the Rev. Mark Waldon & Rosemary Wright, PhD. Waldon and Wright co-lead an Education for Ministry (EfM) program at the Convent of St. John Baptist in Mendham.

Beginning in small groups, the participants shared a significant step in their spiritual journey to date and, through successively larger groups, the sharing deepened until the evening ended with everyone working together to create this following Collect:

Dear God, maker of all holy places and inspiration for all holy objects. You give us unexpected answers and guide us down Your paths. We pray that we will hear You when You give us opportunities that take us out of darkness into Your light, so that we carry our faith into the world, according to Your will, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
