St. Peter's, Clifton display promotes strict gun laws

[The Record] Anyone passing St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will see photos of victims of the Connecticut elementary school massacre, their smiling faces with their names and ages producing a mournful memorial that, the pastor says, is also a call for stricter gun control.

Slightly to the front of the two rows of black-and-white portraits in the church garden is an image of the crucified Jesus Christ – an element that the rector, the Rev. Peter De Franco, says ties the memorial into Holy Week and Easter, the most sacred time of the Christian calendar.

The church has invited members of its congregation to select specific victims to pray for.
