[Randolph Reporter] Thanks to the Kiwanis Club of Randolph, the Randolph Township schools, and Dover High School, some moms will breathe a sigh of relief because their infants will be fed and clothed in the month of May.

Bonnie Hodge, President and Dee Rincon, Young Child Priority One Chair of the Kiwanis Club of Randolph, came up with the idea to help women and their infants when they learned about North Porch Women and Infants’ Center in January.

At that time, the club donated $500 to purchase much needed baby supplies for the Dover location. The project was dedicated to Kiwanis International April’s One Day Event.

North Porch is a center that provides seven days of emergency supplies of formula, diapers, wipes, toiletries, baby food, clothing, bed linens, and other supplies for needy mothers in several communities in northern, NJ.

Established in 1984, the name reflects the custom of the ancient church to regard the “north porch” as a refuge and gathering place for women. North Porch is a project of the Episcopal Church Women of the Diocese of Newark and serves women of all faiths.
