[Northern Valley Suburbanite] The city's Health Department aims to continue its efforts in proclaiming Englewood as one of New Jersey's "Healthy Towns" by offering a new walking program that connects residents with local leaders.

Around 40 people attended a kickoff ceremony for "Walk with a Leader" on April 20, where the Health Department received an award for its designation as one of two "New Jersey Healthy Towns" by the Mayor's Wellness Campaign.

Mayor Frank Huttle III, Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle, D-37, and Rev. Bill Allport of St. Paul's Episcopal Church were the first set of leaders to walk with community members during the kickoff event.

"The church is committed to improving our community, including the wholeness of our lives and our health," said Allport.
